Summer 8 - An Apprentice

Posted by Brian Tyrrell on

"Yeah, keep going. It's just ahead, on your right. Look for the roof with the tiles. No, your right. No no, your other right. And don't forget to give 'em that bundle!"

You glance out of the window above your sink, looking around for the familiar voice you've come to know these past few weeks. Instead, you see a rather shy bundle of bags and backpacks, underneath which you can just make out a beast. Seems like they've travelled a long way to get here...

Familiar: Apprentice

You've taken on an Apprentice, to help share the ways the of the Poulticepounders. For your next Journey, replace your Familiar with a new one, who will take on the role of your Apprentice.

Familiar Benefit: Curious. Your apprentice is always asking questions, and writing down everything you say with a trustworthy fervour - even your mistakes. Leave them alone for even a minute, and they'll be singing your praises (or bemoaning your failures).

Whenever you would gain or lose Reputation, gain or lose 1 additional Reputation.

Familiar Relationship: Apprentice. You're teaching this curious beast the beginnings of the Poulticepounder Trade. They hang on your every word, which means they have a tendency to take your instructions rather literally.

Journal about who your Familiar was before they became your apprentice. How old are they? What lives have they lived before pursuing potion-making? How did they hear about you, and your guild?
